Description
SPORTICA 3 — indoor LED display
The Pixelight SPORTICA 3 is a indoor LED panel with a 3,91 mm pixel pitch, 1,000 nits and IP31 protection, in a 1000 x 800 mm cabinet. It equips sports halls, gymnasiums and indoor arenas, where the panel is seen from stands more than six metres away.
The 3.91 mm pitch is the right calibre for scoreboard, clock and replay content indoors: it holds text at stand distance without paying for a density the audience would not perceive. The 1000 x 800 mm cabinet keeps the number of joints down on long ribbon runs.

To settle at project stage: the mounting structure and wind loading on outdoor installations, the latency of the video chain if the panel carries a live camera feed, and refresh alignment with the broadcast production where the venue is filmed. Comfortable viewing distance starts at 4 m.
Use Cases
- Sports halls and gymnasiums — score, clock and animation seen from the stands.
- Indoor arenas — balcony ribbons and end-of-hall screens.
- Venues and multi-purpose complexes — versatile sports and event display.
- Training centres — video feedback and session analysis.
- Club lobbies and hospitality areas — partner and sponsor messaging.
Technical Tips
- Viewing distance — comfortable from 4 m; closer than that the pixel grid becomes visible.
- Brightness — 1000 nits are calibrated for indoor hall lighting; there is no point oversizing indoors.
- Ingress protection — IP31: strictly indoor use, away from water spray.
- Broadcast capture — check refresh rate and camera shutter alignment before the first live feed.
- Maintenance — keep spare modules on site: a failure mid-season cannot wait for a resupply.
