Description
SPORTICA 6 — outdoor and indoor LED display
The Pixelight SPORTICA 6 is a outdoor and indoor LED panel with a 6,67 mm pixel pitch, 7,000 nits and IP65 protection, in a 960 x 960 mm cabinet. Its 7000-nit brightness and IP65 rating suit large stadiums and surfaces seen from a substantial standback.
The 6.67 mm pitch is the economic trade-off for very large surfaces: beyond seven metres of standback the eye no longer distinguishes it from a 5 mm pitch, while the cost per square metre drops noticeably. It is the pitch to propose as soon as the surface exceeds a hundred square metres.

To settle at project stage: the mounting structure and wind loading on outdoor installations, the latency of the video chain if the panel carries a live camera feed, and refresh alignment with the broadcast production where the venue is filmed. Comfortable viewing distance starts at 7 m.
Use Cases
- Large stadiums and arenas — big screens seen from the upper stands.
- Racecourses and circuits — large surfaces with a long standback.
- Advertising façades and gable ends — large-format urban display.
- Open-air events — stage screens and spectator zones.
- Car parks and retail parks — long-range signage and advertising.
Technical Tips
- Viewing distance — comfortable from 7 m; closer than that the pixel grid becomes visible.
- Brightness — 7000 nits ensure legibility in full sun; automatic regulation prevents glare at night.
- Ingress protection — IP65: rain and jet resistant, suitable for permanent outdoor installation.
- Broadcast capture — check refresh rate and camera shutter alignment before the first live feed.
- Maintenance — keep spare modules on site: a failure mid-season cannot wait for a resupply.
