Category: LED Screen Indoor

Pitch : 3.9 mm

Description

The GLASSTEC 3.9 is a transparent LED poster on a 1,000 × 2,000 mm aluminium frame, at a 3.9 mm pitch. It is not wall-mounted: it goes behind a shop window, against glass, or stands free in the middle of a space — and you still see through it.

That is what this product's key figure means: 50 % transparency. Half the surface lets light and sight through. A fitted shop window does not become an opaque wall; it keeps its view inside, its daylight and its sense of depth, while carrying a full-colour image.

Resolution and density

At an actual pitch of 3.90625 mm — 250 divided by 64 — the 1 × 2 metre display surface carries exactly 256 × 512 pixels, or 65,536 pixels per square metre. The grid stops being perceptible from around 6.7 metres and detail is fully resolved at 13.4 metres: the typical distance of a shop window seen from across the street.

Construction

Aluminium frame of 1,000 × 2,093 × 90 mm at 20 kg, or 10 kg per square metre of display. Ninety millimetres deep: the whole unit slides behind a shop window without eating into selling space. SMD1415 LEDs, 500 × 62.5 mm modules, 16 scan, 3,840 Hz refresh, 140° / 140° viewing angle, 4,500 nits brightness.

Consumption is 240 W/m² average against an 800 W/m² peak. On a 2 m² poster that is under 500 W in normal operation — about a small plug-in heater, for a two-metre-high display surface.

4,500 nits behind glass

A transparent screen placed behind glass works in the worst light conditions there are: it fights sky reflection on the window, daylight coming through from behind, and its own transparency letting part of the output escape. The 4,500 nits are not a brochure line, they are the threshold below which a transparent poster turns grey in daylight.

Position in the range

The GLASSTEC 3.4 tightens the grid to 82,944 pixels per square metre for closer viewing, at the cost of transparency dropping to 45 %. Conversely, to favour see-through over image fineness, the GLASSTEC 2.8 – 5.2 reaches 60 % transparency. For a fixed transparent wall rather than a mobile poster, see the GHOST range.

Technical Expertise

Use Cases

  • Retail and franchise shop window — the poster carries the current offer without closing off the view into the shop. This is the use the format exists for, and the distance from the back wall matters as much as the model chosen.

  • Bank, estate agency, insurance branch — a natural portrait format for listed offers, and transparency that preserves daylight in the reception area.

  • Hotel lobby, showroom, dealership — free-standing poster in the middle of a volume, seen from both sides, without visually cutting the space.

  • Trade show and exhibition stand — the wheeled version moves and stores without tools; 29.5 kg stays manageable with two people.

  • Pop-up corner and seasonal campaign — the poster follows the campaign from one outlet to the next, with no building work and no installer.

Technical Tips

  • Distance de vision optimale : 3.9 m à 11.7 m.
  • Dimensionnement : surface multiple de la dalle native pour éviter les découpes.
  • Stock SAV : 2 à 3 % de modules de spare recommandés.
