Category: LED Screen Indoor

Pitch : 3.4 mm

Description

The GHOST 3.4 is the tipping point of the transparent range. 82,944 pixels per square metre, 45 % transparency, 11 kg per square metre: it is the last model that holds up at six metres, and the first whose transparency really begins to show.

288 × 288 on a one-metre panel

The actual pitch is 3.472 mm — 500 divided by 144. The grid stops being perceptible at 6.0 metres, fine detail is fully resolved at 11.9 metres. Beyond seven metres, the GHOST 3.9 gives the same perceived image with five more points of transparency and a kilo less per square metre. Below six, you need to drop to the GHOST 2.9.

What the open structure buys

Forty-five per cent of the surface is empty. That does not only serve to see through: air circulates freely on both sides. A solid LED wall is a closed enclosure that must extract its heat by forced ventilation, with the fans, filters and silent failures that implies. Here, natural convection is enough. No fan, no filter to clean, no noise.

It is the main reason for the stated lifetime of over 100,000 hours: the leading cause of death in an LED screen is thermal, and here it is largely defused.

Construction

SMD1415 LEDs, 500 × 62.5 mm modules, 16 scan, 3,840 Hz refresh, 140° / 140° angle, 4,500 nits, consumption 240 W/m² average against an 800 W/m² peak, aluminium frame with front maintenance, operating range −20 to +60 °C.

16 scan, more comfortable than it looks

Moving from 21 to 16 scan against the GHOST 2.9, each LED is driven for longer per cycle. At identical perceived brightness it is therefore less stressed, runs cooler, and is more easily captured by a camera. On a project meant to be filmed or photographed, that is a concrete argument for this pitch over a finer one.

Technical Expertise

Use Cases

  • City-centre shop window — read from five or six metres on the pavement, with transparency that hints at the shop interior.

  • Luminous office or coworking partition — visual separation without partitioning, natural ventilation provided by the open structure.

  • Headquarters lobby and reception area — corporate display read between six and twelve metres, on a wall that must stay see-through.

  • Museum and exhibition scenography — an information layer overlaid in front of an exhibit, with no enclosure or fan near the works.

  • Dealership and showroom — large area viewed at medium distance, long operating hours where thermal lifetime matters more than pitch fineness.

Technical Tips
