NovaStar VIT_12×RELAY + 6×I/O + 3×IR — twelve circuits to command from the chassis

This extension card adds twelve relays, six configurable I/O and three infrared outputs to the Vunit 3000. It is the card for installations with many things to switch, open or close: motorised screens, blinds, projectors, power supplies, locks.

NovaStar VIT_12×RELAY + 6×I/O + 3×IR — technical analysis

The six configurable I/O are the detail that counts. Set as inputs they read a dry contact: presence detection, a motorised screen limit switch, a blind position, a door contact. Set as outputs they command. That is what allows conditional scenarios — the screen only lowers if the blind is closed, projection only starts if the screen is down.

As on the main card, the relays are command contacts rated at 3 A and 30 V DC: they drive contactors, they do not directly switch the power of an LED screen or a lighting circuit. Sizing the contactors remains the electrician's job.
