Category: LED Screen Indoor

Pitch : 2.5 mm

Description

The IKONE 2.5 is an indoor fixed-installation panel in a 1,000 × 250 × 45 mm format. Forty-five millimetres deep: that is the figure that defines this product and decides how it is used.

Forty-five millimetres, and what it unlocks

A conventional installation LED wall is between 70 and 90 mm deep. It therefore needs a frame, clearance, sometimes a built recess — and the finished wall advances ten centimetres into the room.

At 45 mm the panel fixes directly to the wall, with no intermediate structure. The screen becomes a finish rather than a piece of furniture. In a reception hall, a corridor, a meeting room or a shop where every centimetre counts, that is often what makes the project possible.

Maintenance is from the front, which is the essential condition of this mounting: flat against the wall, the panel no longer has a reachable rear.

A round pitch and a grid that lands square

The pitch is exactly 2.5 mm — 250 divided by 100. Each 250 × 250 mm module carries 100 × 100 pixels, and the complete panel 400 × 100 pixels, for a density of 160,000 pixels per square metre.

The grid stops being perceptible at 4.3 metres and fine detail is fully resolved at 8.6 metres. That is the distance of a lobby, a reception area, a meeting room — exactly the places where reduced depth matters.

The strip format, and the freedom it gives

A 1,000 × 250 mm panel is a strip, not a square. The chassis exists in several widths at the same 250 mm height — 1,000, 750, 500 and 250 mm — which lets you build widths that do not land on round numbers.

A 3.25 m wide wall is three 1,000 mm panels and one 250. With half-metre square cabinets you would have had to choose between losing 25 cm and overrunning. On a direct wall mount, where the screen follows an existing surface, that flexibility is worth more than pitch fineness.

Construction

Chassis of 1,000 × 250 × 45 mm, 250 × 250 mm modules, 1,300 nits, 3,840 Hz refresh, 140° / 140° viewing angle, 14 to 16-bit greyscale, IP31, front maintenance.

Position in the range

For finer resolution at close viewing, the IKONE 1.9 goes down to a 1.95 mm pitch. For an environment where the screen risks knocks or splashes, the IKONE 2.6 GOB adds resin protection on the modules.

Technical Expertise

State-of-the-Art LED Engineering

As a technical leader in the LED industry, Pixelight ensures the IKONE 2.5 meets the highest standards of visual fidelity. The core of this display lies in its high-quality SMD (Surface Mounted Device) technology, which offers a significantly higher contrast ratio and better color blending compared to traditional DIP configurations.

High Refresh Rate and Visual Consistency

  • Refresh Rate: Engineered to support high refresh rates, the IKONE 2.5 eliminates flicker and scan lines, making it "camera-friendly" for environments where digital recording or live streaming occurs.
  • SMD Technology: The use of premium SMD LEDs ensures a wide viewing angle (140° Horizontal/Vertical), allowing for consistent brightness and hue across the entire surface.
  • Calibration: Each module is capable of pixel-by-pixel brightness and color calibration, maintaining uniformity across large-scale video walls throughout their lifecycle.

While GOB (Glue on Board) technology is an option for increased physical protection, the IKONE 2.5’s standard SMD design excels in heat dissipation and ease of maintenance, ensuring a lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for indoor installations where pixel precision is the priority.

Use Cases

Versatile Indoor Applications

The IKONE 2.5 is a versatile solution designed to transform interior spaces with high-impact digital signage. Its high pixel density makes it suitable for various professional sectors:

  • Corporate Boardrooms: Replaces traditional projectors with high-contrast, bright displays for presentations and video conferencing.
  • Retail Flagships: Enhances brand storytelling through vibrant, large-scale video walls that capture customer attention even in high-ambient light environments.
  • Control Rooms: Provides the necessary resolution for monitoring complex data, CCTV feeds, and technical schematics with absolute precision.
  • Events and Showrooms: Its modular 250x250mm design allows for creative shapes and sizes, perfect for immersive brand experiences and luxury showrooms.
  • Public Venues: Ideal for airports and train stations for clear, legible information display and advertising.

Technical Tips

Technical Optimization and Maintenance

To maximize the lifespan and performance of your IKONE 2.5 display, our engineering team recommends the following best practices:

  • Viewing Distance: With a 2.5mm pitch, the optimal minimum viewing distance is approximately 2.5 meters. This ensures the human eye perceives a continuous image rather than individual pixels.
  • Power Management: Ensure a stable power supply. While the peak power is 600W/m², average consumption is typically 30-40% lower. Use high-quality PDU (Power Distribution Units) to prevent surges.
  • Controller Configuration: Use a high-performance sending box (such as NovaStar or Colorlight) to unlock the full bit-depth and grayscale capabilities of the module.
  • Maintenance: This IP30-rated module is designed for indoor use. Keep the environment free of excessive dust and maintain a controlled temperature to prolong the LED diode life.

Frequently Asked Questions
