Category: LED Screen Indoor

Pitch : 2 mm

Description

THE RING 2 is the brightness hinge of the Pixelight circular range. From this reference upward the panel is calibrated at 800 nits rather than 700: a modest gap on a datasheet, a decisive one on site. It opens the range to glazed atriums, brightly lit lobbies and volumes crossed by daylight, where the finer definitions below can run short of headroom.

A 2 mm pitch and 250,000 pixels per square metre place comfortable reading from about 2 m on the usual pitch-to-distance conversion, which is the natural standing distance in a corporate lobby, an atrium or a showroom. The ring is taken in whole, not examined in detail.

The surface uses the range's flexible 320 × 160 × 8.6 mm modules with SMD1515 packages. A suspended ring has no good side: some part of it always faces a window, whatever its orientation, and brightness headroom is what keeps the lit face and the shaded face of the same ring reading as one screen.

Made-to-measure geometry, set out along the developed length, with 3840 Hz refresh for filmed spaces. Discounted pricing for resellers.

Technical Expertise

Use Cases

Projects that call for THE RING 2

Two conditions together: a standback of at least two metres, and a bright volume.

  • Glazed atriums: a ring suspended in a light well, where 800 nits hold contrast on the face exposed to indirect daylight.
  • Corporate lobbies and head offices: a signal circle seen from the entrance and from the upper floors, never from less than a few metres.
  • Car showrooms: a ring around a displayed vehicle, with a standback imposed by the object and strong scene lighting.
  • Convention centres and reception areas: long curved developed lengths, where cost per square metre becomes the deciding criterion.
  • Continuously filmed venues: 3840 Hz guarantees a clean image both on camera and live.

Technical Tips

PIXELIGHT technical guidance — THE RING 2

  • Survey the light exposure before choosing the pitch: on a ring, one section always faces the light. The choice between 700 and 800 nits is settled on that survey, not on a general preference.
  • Check the perceived gap between faces: ask for an on-site test or an exposure simulation before handover. A ring with one half looking switched off is a design problem, not a settings problem.
  • Do not go below a two-metre standback: at 2.00 mm, an audience that comes closer will perceive the image structure. If the furniture brings visitors into contact, change pitch.
  • Price the developed length: on large atrium rings, the gap between projected area and unrolled circle is a significant share of the budget.
  • Document the brightness level agreed: after handover, record the operating setting so that later interventions do not revert to the nominal default.

Frequently Asked Questions

À quelle distance peut-on regarder un écran LED pitch 2mm ?

Comment installer un écran LED géant THE RING 2 ?
