NovaStar LCB4K — the 4K version of the standalone LCD player

The LCB4K is the 4K version of the NovaStar standalone media player for LCD displays. HDMI 2.0 output at 3840 × 2160 and 60 Hz, Android 11 on a quad-core ARM A55, 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage, with Wi-Fi, 4G and GPS.

NovaStar LCB4K — technical analysis

Like the LCB2K, this is not an LCD wall controller. One HDMI output, one screen, no mosaic or splitting function. The difference from the LCB2K is native 4K, Gigabit instead of Fast Ethernet, a declared Android 11, 32 GB of storage instead of 16, and direct mains power.

It is the player to choose as soon as the screen is 4K and the content justifies it: premium lobbies, brand windows, showrooms, high-end waiting areas. On a Full HD screen the LCB2K does the same job for less. Like it, it synchronises several units over NTP, GPS or radio — and like it, enabling synchronisation reduces the number of simultaneous streams.
