NovaStar CA50C — 5G COEX receiving card

The CA50C belongs to NovaStar's COEX 5G generation, alongside the CA50E and the XA50 Pro. Its compatibility is established by the official CX40 Pro controller documentation, which names it among the cards enabling Frame Rate Adaptive, Dynamic Booster and Full Grayscale Calibration. Since the CX40 Pro only accepts 5G cards, the CA50C is a 5G card.

Transparency on this reference: NovaStar does not publish a datasheet for the CA50C. Its download centre lists only the CA50E for the CA series, and the COEX wiki documents only the CA50E and the XA50 Pro. We therefore publish no load capacity, no dimensions and no power figures for this model: those values are confirmed through our NovaStar channel on request, project by project.

If you need a documented 5G card you can quote immediately, look at the CA50E (768 × 512 in 8 and 10-bit) or the XA50 Pro (1024 × 512), both covered by an official datasheet.

NovaStar CA50C — what is known, and what is not

Three official NovaStar sources mention the CA50C. The CX40 Pro controller datasheet names it three times as a compatible receiving card. The New Solutions 2025 catalogue cites it in an A10s Pro integrated display solution. The COEX Control System Solution manual lists it among the 5G cards — while explicitly excluding the CA50C from its own specification table.

That last point is telling: NovaStar acknowledges the reference but does not document it publicly. That is the profile of a channel or OEM variant — available, but not promoted. For an integrator it means one thing: do not write it into a specification without obtaining the datasheet from the distributor, and keep a documented fallback.

We would rather tell you this than repeat the approximate figures circulating at some resellers. A wrong load capacity on a receiving card means a badly divided wall and a job to redo.
